Courses
This session has been
CANCELLED.
Description/Objectives:

and ideas for assessing outcomes throughout an accounting course.
This CPE session will focus
on ideas for assessment at four different junctures of the course:
| 1) |
|
at the start of the
course, like analyzing the students' vs. instructors' goals and objectives for
the course; |
| 2) |
|
during the course, in
both daily and weekly assessment methods as well as various alternative testing
devices that measure student's ability to learn, synthesize, and
apply; |
| 3) |
|
after the course, in
constructing and interpreting effective teaching evaluations and revising the
course for its next offering; |
| 4) |
|
during the planning
stages of curriculum changes. |
Format/Structure:
Each presenter will be allotted a certain amount of time for presentation.
After the presentation, the forum will be opened for participants to ask
questions, discuss materials, or share their own experiences. A hands-on
project will also be introduced during the session.
Intended Audience:
This session is open to all faculty members and administrators who are
interested in using innovative assessment devices in accounting courses. This
