Hans Peter Moeller
Hans Peter Moeller is head of Department of Accounting at the School of
Economics and Business Administration at the Aachen University of Technology
(RWTH), Germany. Before that he served in the accounting departments of the
Universities of Cologne and Augsburg, Germany, and accepted a position as full
professor at the University of Frankfurt, Germany.
Professor Moeller has
written several books and published articles in a number of academic journals.
His research concerns the relation between accounting and capital markets. He
has presented seminars and papers at conferences and universities throughout
Europe. He has acted as a reviewer for several other academic journals and
works currently as an associate editor of The Journal of International
Accounting Research.
At the Aachen University
of Technology (RWTH) Professor Moeller teaches undergraduate courses in Basics
of Accounting and in Managerial Accounting as well as graduate and Ph.D.
courses in International Accounting, Consolidation of Financial Statements, and
Selected Problems of Accounting.
Professor Moeller also
has been a member of AAA's Outstanding Dissertation Award Committee. He has
co-organized AAA's Third Globalization Conference (Berlin). He is the treasurer
of the International Association of Accounting Education and Research, and is
also a member of the European Accounting Association and of several German
academic organizations.
