2004 Annual Meeting

Poster Session 11:
Using an Ethics Questionnaire
to Dialogue a Variety of Ethical Issues

Presenter:
Susan V. Crosson, Santa Fe Community College

Description:
Having students take an ethics questionnaire the first day of class has proven to be effective in opening dialogue about a variety of ethical issues such as the application of GAAP or making ethical management decisions. Students have been amazed that others in the class do not think like they do about the eight different realistic business scenarios. Student learn from the first day of class that high ethical standards are valued not only in business, but in the course as well. The ethics questionnaire, teaching notes, and several semesters of student results will be shared.
