Description:
Motivation is a critical aspect of teaching and learning in Accounting. Unmotivated Accounting students will not expend the necessary effort to learn. Highly motivated accounting students are eager to come to class and learn. These are some of the questions explored in this poster session:
- How can Accounting educators get students to become more internally motivated?
- How can Accounting educators get students to develop a better sense of mastering their environment?
- What are some good strategies to help students set goals and plan?
- How does anxiety interfere with students’ achievement, and what can Accounting educators do about it?
- How important is social motivation in students’ lives?
- Once students are motivated, how can Accounting educators keep them motivated?
- What are the best strategies for motivating hard-to-reach, low-achieving students?
