Susan V. Crosson
Susan Crosson is Coordinator and Professor of Accounting at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida. She previously has taught on the faculties of University of Florida, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Oklahoma, Johnson County Community College, and Kansas City, Kansas Community College. Susan teaches primarily undergraduate financial and managerial accounting courses. Susan has received the Florida Association of Community Colleges Professor of the Year Award for Instructional Excellence and University of Oklahoma's Halliburton Education Award for Excellence.
Susan received her Master's of Science in Accounting degree from Texas Tech University and her undergraduate degree in Accounting and Economics from Southern Methodist University. She is a CPA and is active on the Accounting Careers and Members in Education committee for the Florida Institute of CPAs.
Susan Crosson speaks and writes on the effective use of technology and pedagogy in accounting courses. She is a co-author of several widely used managerial and principles of accounting textbooks published by Houghton Mifflin and the computer accounting essentials series of textbooks for McGraw-Hill/Irwin.
Susan Crosson has served AAA in numerous capacities. She has chaired AAA's Membership Committee for the past two years. Previously, she served AAA as a Council Member-at-Large, as the Co-Chair of the Relations between Two-Year Members and Members at Other Institutions Committee, as a member of the Professional Development Taskforce and Steering Committee, and in various offices for the Two-Year Accounting Section including serving as its Chair.
