Cynthia Mapp Jackson

Cynthia Mapp JacksonCynthia Mapp Jackson currently is the Joseph G. Riesman Research Professor of Accounting at Northeastern University. Professor Jackson holds a B.S. degree from Virginia State University, and a Master’s of Accountancy and Ph.D. degrees from the University of South Carolina. A CPA in the state of Virginia, she has research interests in accounting information systems, behavioral accounting, and accounting education. Her teaching interests include accounting information systems and financial accounting. Prior to joining the Northeastern University, College of Business Administration faculty, she served as an assistant professor at the University of Houston.

Professor Jackson has published in such journals as Decision Sciences, The International Journal of Accounting, Advances in Accounting Information Systems, and Issues in Accounting Education. She is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Black Accountants, and is vice president of Beta Gamma Sigma.
