Session 5
Strategies to Serve Struggling Students

Presenter:
Robert Allen, University of Utah

Description:
Every semester, I encounter students who struggle in accounting. These struggles have a variety of different causes including: lack of familiarity with accounting, lack of motivation, life stress, and various others. Over the years, I have tried to make a difference to help students who are struggling. Often, with very little effort on my part, I can make a difference to some of the students who find successful completion of the course to be difficult. The purpose of this session is to share strategies for helping students who struggle.
