What Needs to Be Considered When You Teach Accounting Courses Online

As the number of online courses available in the program increased rapidly in recent years, you might consider, whether you want teach accounting course(s) online. You might have a list of questions relative to your online teaching. For instance, are the online students different from the face-to-face students? Why do they choose online versus F2F? Are the needs and expectations of online classes different from those of F2F classes? How do they want the online course to be delivered and managed? What makes a certain online student more successful than others? What kind of course contents would make the online classes more effective?
For the past few years, I have taught M.B.A. accounting courses online and F2F as well. I would like to share what I discovered from my online classes in comparison to F2F. This session will greatly benefit new online instructors in developing effective teaching strategies. Also, it will benefit those who have had previous struggled teaching accounting course(s) online. As you might realize, teaching online demands greater amount of preparation than you think it would. Come to this session to discuss issues and concerns of developing effective teaching/learning strategies for online accounting courses.
