Katherine Schipper
Presidential Scholar Katherine
Schipper will give her address on
Monday morning. Schipper
was appointed to the Financial
Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in
2001. Prior to joining the FASB, she
served as the L. Palmer Fox Professor of
Business Administration at Duke
University's Fuqua School of Business. Dr.
Schipper has published research papers
on a range of accounting subjects and
has been the recipient of several grants
and awards, including the American
Accounting Association's Outstanding
Accounting Educator. She has served
the American Accounting Association as
President and as Director of Research,
the FASB as a member of the Financial
Accounting Standards Advisory Council
(FASAC), as editor of the Journal of
Accounting Research, and as a member
of the Accounting Education Change
Commission (AECC).
