Kazuo Hiramatsu

Kazuo Hiramatsu Kazuo Hiramatsu is the President and Professor of Accounting at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Washington (1977–79) and a visiting professor at the University of Glasgow (1991).

He joined the American Accounting Association in 1976. Since then he served for the Advisory Board of the International Accounting Section (1987–90), the Committee to Select the Distinguished International Lecturer (1988–1989), the Editorial Advisory and Review Board of the Accounting Horizons (1994-1996), the Council Member-at-Large (1995-1997), and the Distinguished International Faculty Exchange Committee (1997).

Currently, he is the Vice President-at-Large of the International Association for Accounting Education & Research, and the President of the Japanese Association for International Accounting Studies. He served for IASC as a member of the Strategy Working Party during 1997–99. Within Japan, he is a member of the CPA-Auditing Oversight Board and the Business Accounting Deliberation Council of the Japanese Government.
