Jim Hunton
Jim Hunton, CPA, Ph.D., is a chaired Research Professor at Bentley College (Waltham, MA) and at the Universiteit Maastricht (The Netherlands). His primary teaching interests include accounting information systems, corporate fraud, forensic accounting, information systems audit and control, and design and analysis of experiments. He has taught courses of this nature at the undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. levels. Due to his extensive experience as an auditor, controller, and general manager prior to entering academia, Jim communicates very effectively with students, practitioners, and colleagues.
Jim has published over 100 articles and books. Many of his research articles have appeared in top-tier journals in the domains of accounting, information systems and psychology.
Jim was editor of Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research for four years. He is currently an associate editor of Decision Sciences and he reviews submitted papers for many journals. Jim is president of the Accounting Systems special interest group of the Association for Information Systems; past president of the Information Systems section of the American Accounting Association; and is actively involved in many capacities throughout the American Accounting Association.
