Shyam Sunder

Shyam Sunder is the James L. Frank Professor of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at Yale School of Management, and Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at Yale University. Educated as an engineer in India, he received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University. He has published five books and more than 100 scholarly articles on accounting, experimental economics, and finance. A member since 1972, he has served AAA on many of its committees, as International Distinguished Visiting Lecturer and Presidential Lecturer, and as elected Director of Research during 1988-90. He is a two-time recipient of the AAA-AICPA Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award and the Manuscript Award.
