Discover San Francisco

There's never a lack of things to do in San Francisco — home to internationally acclaimed museums, beautiful landmarks and much, much more including:

Alcatraz Island – Welcome to the Rock!
Surrounded by the frigid waters of San Francisco Bay, the island of Alcatraz is a world unto itself. Isolation, one of the constants of island life for any inhabitant — soldier, guard, prisoner, Indian, bird or plant — is a recurrent theme in the unfolding history of Alcatraz.

Golden Gate Bridge – The orange towers of the Golden Gate Bridge, perhaps the best-loved symbol of San Francisco, are visible from almost every high point in the city. Driving across is a real thrill, racing under the towers, while the half-hour walk across allows you to take in its enormous size and absorb the views.

Fisherman's Wharf – Known for its historic waterfront, delicious seafood, spectacular sights and unique shopping, Fisherman’s Wharf offers a wide array of things to do for everyone.

Pier 39 – San Francisco's premier festival marketplace has more than 110 stores, 11 full-service restaurants with bay views and numerous fun-filled attractions. Don't miss the sea lions.

San Francisco Zoo – Northern California's largest zoological park and conservation center, this urban oasis, nestled against the Pacific Ocean, provides a home in naturalistic surroundings to 250 different animal species.

Aquarium of the Bay – A unique educational and entertainment facility dedicated to the rich and diverse aquatic life of the San Francisco Bay and its surrounding waters.

Ghirardelli Square – Filled with history of the Ghirardelli chocolate family dating back to the mid-1800s, Ghirardelli Square today offers visitors shopping San Francisco style, waterfront dining near Fisherman's Wharf, art galleries, family events, walking tours and more.

San Francisco Cable Cars – It was the invention of the cable car that made high-society life on San Francisco's hills possible and practical. Since 1873, these little trolleys have been an integral part of life in the city
