Abstract: Sachiko Corporation is a comprehensive case on financial statement analysis in an international context. It provides students with the financial statements and relevant footnotes of Sachiko Corporation, a Japanese company and Radiance Inc., a U.S. company, and asks them to restate the financial statements of the two companies so as to evaluate whether the revised ratios are consistent with the strategy and business environment of each company, and recommend which one is a better investment prospect.
