|
Richard Vangermeersch University of Rhode Island
Abstract: Recent efforts have been made to highlight the writings and life of Stuart Chase. Chase was a CPA in Massachusetts and was a third-generation CPA, who became perhaps the best known U.S. political economist in the years from the 1920’s through the 1960’s. The rediscovery of Stuart Chase shows his use of his accounting skills to help solve important social problems. Chase presented many solutions for today’s problems and should be honored with the Accounting Exemplar Award.
