Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present an audit practice set that utilizes only Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Visio, and Word). By using MS Office tools, this case is unique in that it does not require any custom software by the user. Further, by using basic desktop software, the case provides a venue to integrate learning experiences from other courses. Lastly, the dataset includes transactions from all cycles for an entire year (e.g., approximately 1,000 sales transactions), making tests of transactions using statistical sampling possible.
