Fifteenth Annual Research Workshop on: Artificial Intelligence and
Emerging Technologies in Accounting, Auditing, and Tax
Description/Objectives:
To provide a forum for researchers to present their work to and exchange ideas with interested colleagues. Early-stage papers are encouraged as are more-developed research in progress, and completed (but not published) papers. The June 1 submission date aims to facilitate the inclusion of the most recent work. The workshop includes opportunities for substantial interaction among participants.
Financial areas: accounting, auditing, tax, and other financial domains.
Artificial Intelligence areas: expert systems; neural networks; case-based reasoning; machine learning; NLP; intelligent databases, agents, and devices; other AI areas.
Emerging Technology areas: continuous assurance services; datamining; Internet services; semantic web; e-commerce; workflow technology; EDI; wireless connectivity; other emerging technologies.
Research Issues: literature reviews; task selection; feasibility analysis; knowledge acquisition and representation (e.g., structure of rule base, neural network, etc.); knowledge processing; intelligent databases; validation and verification; impact on organizations, education, and legal implications; deeper understanding of financial domains; cognitive modeling; other research issues.
