“Practice What You Teach” Accounting Program, Firm and Faculty Benefits From a Scholar-In-Residence Program

ABSTRACT. This paper discusses a unique scholar in residence program concept for accounting faculty in improving the quality of teaching, maintaining an updated and challenging curriculum, meeting accreditation standards, improving faculty development, advancing intellectual contributions, having students prepared and ready for the marketplace, along with a host of many more benefits to the accounting profession.
