ABSTRACT. The KaDo case is designed for use in an advanced undergraduate AIS class or a graduate class. The enterprise modeling component of the case integrates two cycles and exposes students to advanced modeling concepts such as subtypes, recursive relationships, and policy definitions. During the design and implementation phases, students learn how to translate advanced modeling constructs, such as subtypes, into a relational database design, as well as how to integrate a legacy system. The information retrieval part teaches students how to solve advanced queries. From an instructor perspective, KaDo is a dynamic case delivered over the Internet. This means that instructors can create a version of the case that adapts to their own needs.
