Accounting Practice and Organizational Change

ABSTRACT. This paper discusses the concepts contained in communities of practice theory (COPT) and the possible contribution for greater understanding of organizations in times of change. The paper further draws upon institutional theory as a means to broaden the perspective of COPT and provide insight into the processes surrounding changes in organizational culture, whether intentional or otherwise.
