Getting Started with Podcasting
(Communications)
Description/Objectives:
A podcast is a digital recording made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player. Professors can easily use this technology to supplement classroom instruction. This session will allow the participant to learn how podcasting is being used in top business schools across the country to enhance curriculum, capture student's attention, support student learning, and provide unprecedented opportunities to deliver educational content. Podcasts can be used to review class material, provide supplemental material, and to reinforce learning. By the end of this session, participants will be able to successfully design, prepare, and publish a podcast with professional results. Additionally, strategies for supporting students and teachers who want to publish their own podcasts will be included.
Special Note: Participants are requested to bring a laptop computer to the workshop.
