Accounting Ethics Education:
Accounting Ethics Course Topics, Accounting Ethics Modules,
and Weekend Ethics Practicum for Accounting Students

(Regulatory Ethics - Basic)

Description/Objectives:
Description: Accounting ethics education for accounting students may be satisfied by offering one or more of the following formal training programs: a stand alone accounting ethics course, accounting ethics modules in existing accounting courses, and/or a weekend ethics practicum for accounting students.

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to discuss the importance of a comprehensive accounting ethics education at the undergraduate and graduate level. Participants will be able to develop a comprehensive accounting ethics education curriculum using a common body of knowledge.

Participants will be able to develop and teach accounting ethics through a stand-alone accounting ethics course, accounting ethics modules, and a weekend ethics practicum for accounting students.

Teaching Methodology: Lecture, handouts, short case studies, and small group discussion.

Prerequisites:
Must have current or future interest in effective teaching of accounting ethics topics to accounting students.
