Description: The purpose of this workshop is to explore the ways in which Web 2.0 components, like Twitter, Facebook, Second Life and other social networking functionalities are now being used for Financial and Business Reporting and the implications. The session will begin with a look at the current use of the internet for corporate reporting, then extend that into the current use of Web 2.0 functions for such reporting. Exactly what these functions are and how they work will be presented and tied into the use of mobile devices like the iPhone and Blackberry. Then the group will discuss the implications of these trends for the content and form of Financial and Business Reporting. The medium may really be the message.
