Add Value to the 150-hour CPA Requirement with Financial Planning: AFS/CFP Board Model Financial Planning Curriculum

Presented By:

William Carper, Black Hills State University

Description: SESSION CANCELLED Consumers want one-stop shopping regarding their accounting, tax, and financial planning needs from someone they trust--their CPAs! In this regard, 75 million baby boomers are in the process of retiring over the next 25 years. Most of them are not ready financially. Social Security may not be an option for young Americans by the time they retire. Thus, working individuals and couples continue to worry about funding of accumulation, financial independence, and retirement goals, including income, wealth accumulation and growth, risk management, tax considerations, and estate planning in an uncertain world. All of which lead to stress and lack of peace of mind! CPAs/CFPs obviously are in the best position to lead! However, many more planners are needed. Thus, it is going to take a major grass roots movement among accounting educators to get the job done, and time is running out! We urgently need to train comprehensive CPA/CFP advisers that are well-grounded accounting and tax historians who also are well gualified to assist clients in planning and monitoring their financial futures! Learn how easy it is to add the AFS/CFP Board Model Financial Planning Curriculum to your accounting curriculum. It’s turn-key!
