Description: The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for accounting researchers to present their work to and exchange ideas with interested colleagues. Early stage papers are encouraged as well as more developed research and completed papers (not yet published). A May 1 submission date for abstracts aims to facilitate the inclusion of the most recent work. The workshop includes opportunities for substantial interaction among participants. Papers are welcome in the application of strategic and emerging technologies to any area of the accounting discipline. Papers may employ any aspect of strategic or emerging technologies. Examples presented at recent workshops include textual analysis, XML, XBRL, REA, continuous assurance, data mining, evidential reasoning, information modeling, genetic programming, artificial neural networks, natural language processing, intelligent databases, intelligent agents and object oriented computing.
Key dates are:
• 1 May 2009: Email extended abstract with paper title, name of authors and description of approximately 300 words or full paper to setworkshop@aisvillage.com. • 15 May 2009: Decisions emailed. • 1 July 2009: Full papers due.
