Sponsored By: Government and Nonprofit

Presented By:

A. Faye Borthick, Georgia State University

Paul A. Copley, James Madison University

Susan Kattelus, Michigan State University

Description: The Government and Not-for-Profit (GNP) section of the AAA invites everyone interested to an interactive session on writing and using instructional cases. The first half of the session will focus on the writing and publishing aspect with a panel of experts who will present their views and answer questions, with emphasis on an open discussion. Using the format, the second part of the session will feature strategies on how to effectively use cases in teaching. While a key objective of this session is to attend to the need for developing instructional cases in the government and not-for-profit sector, we will present information and hopefully generate a discussion that should be of broad interest and benefit anyone wishing to explore and develop skills in the writing and/or use of instructional cases.
