Description: Suppose your personal lectures are published electronically. How would this benefit your teaching effectiveness? Students could watch the lecture on a computer or an IPod. Those who miss class would not have to miss your lecture. Struggling students could watch a second or third time. Indeed, imagine what you could do if students did not have to attend class to hear your lectures? You could spend class time helping students work problems, discussing current issues, allowing students to make presentations, or to work in groups. The possibilities are limitless.
There is software available that makes publishing your lectures easy. This CPE session covers not only the basic functions of publishing software but more importantly the delivery techniques that make your presentations interesting. You will learn how to use class time more effectively. Indeed, you will learn how to be a better teacher.
This is a hands on CPE session. You will see a lecture being recorded. You will participate as a student and engage in discussions with other professors who are using publishing software. If you desire to improve your teaching effectiveness, regardless of the subject you teach, this CPE session is a must attend event for you.
