A. LaGuardia Airport is 8 miles from Midtown Manhattan hotels. Ground transportation information is available in the baggage claim/arrival areas of all terminals or online.

  • A taxi ride into the city takes anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes and costs a minimum of $30—rides are metered and bridge tolls and tip (15-20 percent is customary) are extra. Taxis accept cash and credit or debit cards. Riders should hail a cab in the designated areas or ask a uniformed airport employee to assist—it is illegal (and unsafe) to accept a ride from a driver who approaches a passenger.
  • New York Airport Service ($12 one way and $21 roundtrip) offers bus service from LaGuardia to midtown hotels. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes with busses operating every fifteen to thirty minutes, seven days a week. Service is available from 6:30 a.m. - 11:10 p.m. Children under 12 years old are free if accompanied by a full fare adult. Limit one free child per full fare adult.
  • The SuperShuttle provides door-to-door service to and from the airport to downtown hotels. The fare is $16 each way.

B. Kennedy Airport is 17 miles from the Midtown Manhattan hotels. Ground transportation information counters are located on the lower baggage claim level of all terminals or online.

  • Taxi service is available in front of all terminals. Taxis from the airport to Manhattan charge a flat rate of $45 (plus tolls and tip) with the trip taking 65 to 75 minutes.
  • Bus service on New York Airport Service costs $15 one-way and $27 roundtrip and takes approximately 75 to 85 minutes. Available from 6:30 a.m. - 11:10 p.m., these shuttles leave every 15-30 minutes. One free child under 12 is included in the fare. Children under 12 years old are free if accompanied by a full fare adult. Limit one free child per full fare adult.
  • The SuperShuttle provides door-to-door service to and from the airport to downtown hotels. The fare is $19 each way.
  • The AirTrain operates out of Kennedy and provides access to NYC in about 35 minutes via the Long Island Rail Road. AirTrain arrives and departs every 5 minutes from most stations during peak airport travel periods. The cost of a ticket to New York's Penn Station is $12.
