Services Available for 2010
Discounted Position Listing
Institutions can begin their involvement in the Career Connection by posting a position listing at $50 off the regular price!
Register for the Career Connection on the AAA Career Center Website and we will place the San Francisco themed Career Connection “Bridge” icon by your listing or resume. This will simplify the search process and make it much easier to find each other and schedule time to meet! If your Institution has a position listing posted in the Career Center, which will be advertised at the Career Connection, you can renew it for a further 120 days for only $225. (Access to the Career Connection will be limited to enrolled Career Connection participants)
Fourth Annual Meeting Career Fair
We are pleased to offer this popular service for the fourth year in a row. The Career Fair is an opportunity to network, share print materials, and highlight or learn about institutions recruiting, or planning to recruit in the near future. This event is scheduled for Sunday, August 1st, 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the Hilton Union Square hotel throughout the Golden Gate corridor on the lobby level. This fun, sociable event is open to all registered conference attendees. Career Fair booths will include a 4'x 8' cork display board that will accommodate posters or other material, a table (available workspace is 1'x 4') for handouts, and a chair. Note, electrical power is not available for the Career Fair booths.
Institutions will have the ability to maximize their recruiting time by purchasing hour-long time slots in our Interview Hall. This efficient process will allow institutions to buy as many time slots as they need in order to conduct their interviews. Interview Hall time slot pricing will remain the same as last year! The Interview Hall's open hours are:
|Sunday, 9:00am – 2:00pm
||5 time slots available per table
|Monday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
||10 time slots per table
|Tuesday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
||10 time slots per table
|Wednesday, 8:00am – 11:00am
||3 time slots per table
Depending on the amount of interviews you are planning to conduct, you can purchase different packages to meet your needs. Here are some examples:
- If you only need half a day to conduct your interviews, you can purchase the Career Center 5-Slot Package.
- If you only want to spend a couple days interviewing you can purchase the Career Center 15-Slot Package to fill up to a full day and a half of interviewing!
- If you have a lot of interviewing to do, you can purchase the Career Center Full Package giving you 28 time slots to fill tables all four days!
All scheduling will be run through one place: the AAA Career Center!
Once you have purchased time slots, you will be able to access the Interview Hall Scheduler within your Career Center account. The Scheduler will allow you to book your time slots at any available table within all four days of the Interview Hall, and manage your candidates who have scheduled interviews with you.
The Interview Hall will have computers onsite, giving you access to position listings, resumes of registered job seekers, and access to the Interview Hall Scheduler.
The Process by which you can invite job seekers to interview with you is designed to preserve job seeker anonymity until they commit to interviewing with you. Please read this carefully:
- Once you have booked your time slots, you can search through the anonymous resumes of job seekers who are registered for the Career Connection to find candidates to interview.
- When you find candidates you are interested in, you can send them an email through the Career Center asking them to choose one of the time slots you have booked.
- If they are interested in interviewing with you, they will choose a time slot - scheduling an interview with you - and their contact information will be released to you. Once you have their contact information you are free to follow up with them outside of the Career Center.
