Blogging - Why and How

Description: The purpose of this CPE session is to cover blogging by professors. The types of blogging covered are academic (professional), instructional and personal.

The CPE workshop is organized in mostly a discussion format. 1) Benefits of blogging by professors 2) Costs of blogging by professors 3) Does it qualify as scholarly activity? 4) Types of blogs: research, commentary, lifestyle 5) Writing a research oriented academic blog 6) Writing a commentary oriented academic blog 7) Factors to consider when setting up a blog

The presenter is an accomplished academic blogger. The presenter has participated in panel discussions on blogging and has presented blogging workshops.
