The Ernst & Young Foundation has generously supported PhD student attendance at the JATA conference by providing us with $5,000/year to allocate to applicants. They have done this since 2003 and have committed to do so through 2008.

The application deadline is Friday, January 11, 2008. Disbursement amounts will be communicated by January 21, 2008.

General Information:

  • The chair of the New Faculty Concerns Committee will make the initial grant allocations, which will be modified/approved by the committee.
  • An individual may receive a maximum of two grants, total.
  • All PhD students are encouraged to apply, however students in the second and third years of their program are more likely to receive grants (students in their sixth year are unlikely to be recipients).
  • Reimbursement occurs through the AAA; if you receive a grant, you must send copies of your receipts to the AAA in order to receive it.
