The American Accounting Association is pleased to announce that Ginger White, CMA, CSCA, joined the AAA as the Chief Operating Officer in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on May 1, 2019.

Ginger brings to the Association extensive experience in accounting, finance and process management developed during her 21 years with Cummins, Inc. and she has a deep understanding and appreciation for member-led organizations as she is also the current Chair of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Global Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Her most recent position was the corporate purchasing finance director at Cummins Inc., based in Columbus, Ind., where she supported the company's global, direct, and indirect purchasing leaders with financial reporting and analysis since June 2015. Ginger was employed by Cummins for more than 21 years, where her job titles included cost analyst; fixed asset manager (one year); industrial finance manager (two years); finance systems project manager (one year); controller of Xtreme Pressure Injection (XPI) (three years); engine business finance Six Sigma Black Belt (two years); and Six Sigma Master Black Belt (four years).

An IMA member since 1999, Ginger has held various positions on the Board of IMA's South Central Indiana Chapter, including a term as president. She also served on the Lincoln Trail Regional Council, where she was the IMA student representative, chair of the student committee, regional vice president, and president. She previously served two terms as chair of IMA's Member Relations Board Committee; a term as chair of the Performance Oversight and Audit, the Planning and Development, and the Nominating Committees; and as a member of the Nominating and the Governance Committees.

Ginger earned her BS in Business Administration from Berea College. While working full time at Cummins, Ginger completed her MBA in 2002 and her MS in Strategic Finance in 2006, both at Indiana University Southeast.

Ginger previously served on the Board of the Scott County Partnership (in Scottsburg, Ind.) and in leadership positions at LifeDesigns, a nonprofit that offers comprehensive services for people with disabilities in south central Indiana.

In her spare time, Ginger enjoys vacationing with her husband, Scott; kayaking; hiking; doing home improvements; spending time with her family and friends; and working outside.
