ABSTRACT:

The development of expert systems is a field of study receiving increased attention. Three areas of research that can benefit from work done in the area of expert systems are: (1) the effective and efficient use of accounting information systems to support decision making, (2) the proper design and control of accounting information systems, and (3) the design of intelligent front-ends to database systems.
