A Graduate Program for Information Systems Managers

ABSTRACT:

Organizations need personnel with competencies in both management and information technology in order to achieve a strategic advantage from information systems. This paper describes a master's level program, called the Master of Business Administration/Information Systems Management program, developed at The University of Texas at Austin to meet industry's needs for people who can bridge the management/information technology gap. It also summarizes the key success factors of this program.
