Call for Submissions

IMA®'s Committee on Ethics, in cooperation with the Student and Academic Relations group, encourages you to participate IMA's annual Carl Menconi Ethics Case Competition. The deadline for submissions is January 12, 2009.

In its third year, this competition was created to develop cases focusing on business ethics with specific application to management accounting and finance issues. Educators are invited to make submissions suitable for either undergraduate or graduate classroom use.

Please click here to read the Submission Guidelines. All Submissions must be in compliance with the IMA Code of Ethics.

The deadline for submissions is January 12, 2009. Entries will be judged by members of the IMA Committee on Ethics and winners will be notified by April 30, 2009. The winning case(s) will be recognized in an IMA publication (Strategic Finance magazine or Management Accounting Quarterly) and the case author or author team will be recognized at IMA's 90th Annual Conference and Exposition to be held in Denver in June 2009.

IMA members and non-members are welcome to submit entries to the Carl Menconi Ethics Case Competition to IMA professor-in-residence Dr. Raef Lawson , in care of Tara Barker, via e-mail at tbarker@imanet.org.
