T&C Web News -- D. V. Rama

Several activities are underway to further develop the T&C website. Don Wygal expressed the focus of these development activities in his welcome message for the T&C site:

"Welcome to the Teaching and Curriculum Section Website! We hope that you will visit us often. Many of your colleagues are leading the effort to address ways to enhance accounting education. We hope to use the Website to better connect you to these efforts. We hope also that you will want to become a contributor to some of these activities. We welcome your participation."

We are working on a new design to support the above objectives. An initial storyboard for the new design is given on page 6. This storyboard has been created based on our review of the existing site, and feedback from the T&C Executive Committee and others. As seen from the storyboard, the T&C site will be organized according to section activities (e.g. committees, regions, newsletters). To facilitate easy navigation, all pages have a link back to the T & C Home page, to the AAA Home page and to all pages on the first level of the storyboard. Since the list of committees changes over time, only the new committees have been shown on the storyboard.

We hope to implement the new design soon. Please give us your input on how the website can better serve the needs of T&C members. Finally, I would like to thank the students whose ideas and enthusiasm have made it possible to develop this storyboard and design in a short period of time.
