Title: Introduction to XML

Focus on understanding the basics of XML (eXtensible Markup Language). XML is
the basic technology for describing data in both humanly understandable and
computerized form. This workshop will focus on understanding XML by examples
and hands on exercises. Bring Windows laptops.

Title: Designing and Facilitating Online Courses

Learn how to design and facilitate courses using web tools such as chat,
bulletin board, email, listserves, web publishing, streaming audio/video, and
audio/video conferencing. The presenter received the 2000 AAA Innovation in
Accounting Education Award for the project Collaborative Discovery Learning
Online.

Title: Introduction to XBRL

Understand how the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) could
dramatically change the financial information value chain. Discuss the
strategic objectives of XBRL, the nature of XBRL taxonomies, and representation
of accounting information within an XBRL instance document. Bring Windows
laptops.

Participate in hands-on demonstrations of techniques like writing in the class,
problem-based learning cases, drama simulations, and service learning. Learn
how to use these techniques in your graduate and undergraduate programs.
