American Accounting Association Assessment Colloquium at the 1999 AAHE Assessment Forum

Assessment as Evidence of Learning: Serving Students and Society
June 13–16 in Denver, Colorado

Attend the American Association for Higher Education’s prestigious annual conference featuring internationally recognized speakers at a special discount rate AND participate in sessions designed specifically for accounting educators. The AAA is offering an Accounting Assessment Colloquium embedded in the AAHE’s Assessment Forum.

Early bird registration (by May 7, 1999) is $290. Regular registration (by May 24, 1999) is $320. The Adams Mark Hotel will offer special conference rates for reservations made by May 21, 1999. United Airlines is also offering discounts through the AAHE.

The conference will focus on:

  • Using assessment to improve the quality of student learning.
  • Communicating information about the quality of the educational experience to accreditation bodies, legislators, taxpayers, boards and donors.
  • Special topics including using portfolios and capstone courses in assessment, assessment in the major, and assessing service learning in the curriculum.
