Mark Your Calendars for the
Colloquium on Change in Accounting Education

You are invited to attend the 1999 Colloquium on Change in Accounting Education sponsored by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Join us November 4th through 7th in the breathtaking high desert, red rock country of Sedona, Arizona, just a two-hour drive north of Phoenix.

The 1999 Colloquium theme, How to Implement Real World Learning, is designed to help you meet the demand now made by all sectors of higher education—to actively engage students in the learning process so they are able to skillfully frame and solve problems in a variety of social contexts throughout their professional lives. “Learning by doing,” also called “experiential learning,” is quickly becoming the name of the game; and no discipline has more at stake in mastering its rules in the 21st Century than does accounting.

The $125 registration fee includes all sessions and refreshment breaks, Thursday dinner, Friday lunch and afternoon reception, and Saturday breakfast and lunch. You will, however, pay only $100 if you are both a 1997 and 1998 veteran of the Colloquium, or $110 if you attended the 1998 Colloquium. The headquarters hotel is the Poco Diablo Hotel and Resort (800/528-4275) with a single- and double-occupancy rate of $89. Also, the Inn of Sedona (800/292-6344) is available with a single- and double-occupancy rate of $75, including a continental breakfast. Make your room reservations directly with the hotel of your choice and be sure to mention the Colloquium. These hotels will provide a free, daily shuttle to and from Poco Diablo Hotel and Resort.
