Report on the Editors’ Panel

at the

2007 ABO Research Conference (Philadelphia, PA)

The 2007 ABO Research Conference featured a plenary session Editors’ Panel, with the following editors participating: Vicky Arnold (University of Central Florida, current editor of Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research); Steve Kaplan (Arizona State University, former editor of Behavioral Research in Accounting), and Mike Shields (former editor of the Journal of Management Accounting Research and current associate editor of Accounting, Organizations and Society). The panel’s themes centered around identification of under-researched topics, and advice to help researchers overcome barriers to publication of their work. The panelists all gave very informative and helpful presentations, and we are responding to requests by members of the audience to put their presentations on the web.
