Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change

Emerald Group Publishing Limited has acquired the Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change (JAOC), edited by Professor Zahirul Hoque at Deakin University. The Associate Editors of the Journal are: Professor Carol Adams (La Trobe University, Australia), Associate Professor Manzurul Alam (Monash University, Australia), Professor Shahid Ansari (Babson College, USA), Professor Jane Broadbent (Royal Holloway University of London), Professor Richard Laughlin (Kings College University of London), and Dr Jodie Moll (University of Manchester, UK)

The mission of JAOC is to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners from multiple disciplines to disseminate information on organisational and accounting systems change. To achieve this mission, JAOC will be directed at mapping out contemporary changes in the new global business environment and seek to explain the new techniques, processes, and philosophies associated with the rise of strategy-oriented accounting and information systems. JAOC is a peer-reviewed, academic journal that will publish two issues in 2005, and three issues from 2006. It publishes high quality research on contemporary issues in organisational change and accounting. It provides a communication media between accountants and organisational experts, whether they work in industry, the public sector, in consulting, or in academic institutions.

First Issue

The first issue of JAOC had an array of top authors, including the following articles:

There are three Calls for Papers that have recently been issued:
