Practice Advisory Committee

Charge:

Provide broad guidance to the Executive Committee with regard to the Association's relations with practice. Specifically:

  1. Provide advice and support for the Vice President/Practice and the President-elect on the implementation of the strategic plan in the goal area of "Contribute to Excellence in Accounting Practice."
  2. Develop and assist in implementing a practice (corporate) relations program for the association.
  3. Oversee the AAA's participation in a joint initiative tentatively titled "Strategic Thinking in Accounting Education for the 21st Century."
  4. Recommend to the Executive Committee other ways to strengthen ties between education, and specifically the Associations and accounting practice.
  5. Provide the Executive Committee, through the designated liaison person, reports on the committee's activities for each Executive Committee meeting (dates to be determined).
