| The criteria for the
2000 Consortium are as follows:
- Each U.S.
AACSB business-accredited school is eligible to nominate new tenure-track
faculty, provided that the school or the new faculty member pays a $300 program
fee (per attendee).
- The
nominated new faculty members must be in their first tenure-track position in
accounting, with a start date no later than December 31, 1999.
- New
faculty must have successfully defended their dissertations. The defense must
have occurred either before the new faculty started their first tenure-track
position at the nominating school, or within 12 months after starting a
tenure-track position at the nominating school. The defense date must be prior
to December 31, 1999.
- To be
eligible for nomination, the date of the New Faculty Consortium must be within
20 months after the new faculty's dissertation defense date, and within 20
months after starting a tenure-track position at the nominating school. New
faculty may attend only one New Faculty Consortium.
If your school's program is accredited by the AACSB, please use this
form to list each of your new faculty members who began their first tenure
track positions in accounting at your school since June 4, 1998 (20 months
before the 2000 Consortium date) and who meet the requirements regarding the
dissertation.
It was the consensus of the Executive Committee that criteria for
attending the New Faculty Consortium require employment in a tenure track
position and possession of a terminal degree (not necessarily in accounting)
and that schools in the candidacy phase of AACSB accreditation not be included
within the list of eligible schools.
