Information Technology Interaction Committee

Charge:

1. Prepare a three-part report and submit it to the AAA Executive Committee in time for consideration at its August 2001 meeting. The report should achieve the following:

a. Part 1 Provide an overview of accounting information processing in organizations of varying levels of IT integration.

b. Part II Review the existing literature and, if necessary, gather additional evidence to describe the current status of IT education and research.

c. Part III Recommend steps that can be taken to improve intellectual interaction and curricular integration among IT/Systems faculty and those teaching more traditional accounting courses.

2. Provide a progress report to the Executive Committee liaison in time to be included in the agenda book for each Executive Committee meeting.
