Faculty Development Advisory Committee

Charge:

Serve in an advisory capacity for the Association's Director of Faculty Development. Specifically:

  1. Serve as a sounding board for the Director of Faculty Development and Executive Director on new faculty development initiatives.
  2. Assist in the establishment of faculty development priorities so that an appropriate balance is maintained among the areas of teaching, research, practice, and service.
  3. Evaluate the merits of developing a program that would allow faculty members to follow a course of study in a specific area (e.g., course design, information technology).
  4. Provide a progress report to the Executive Committee liaison in time to be included in the agenda book for each Executive Committee meeting.
