Trends and Issues Monitoring Committee

(Formerly Environmental Screening)

Charge:

Assist accounting educators and the Executive Committee in long-range planning. Specifically:

  1. Identify and monitor opportunities and risks for accounting educators presented by changes in the economy, competition, regulation, technology, business, professional services, and demographics.
  2. Prepare biannual reports on the implications of these opportunities and risks for accounting educators and the AAA. Provide reports to Executive Committee in time for consideration at their fall and spring meetings. Disseminate information to AAA members as deemed appropriate.
