2004-2005 AAA COMMITTEES


BY-LAWS COMMITTEE

Charge:

Carry out all activities with regard to changes in the Association's By-Laws. Specifically:

  1. Review previous committees' reports and other important background material.
  2. Review existing Association's By-Laws including those from the Sections and Regions and recommend to the Executive Committee revisions where conflicts exist or other changes are needed.
  3. Review Standing Committees and determine if the composition of the committees should change, if any new standing committees should be added, if the charge for the standing committees should be changed, or if any of the current standing committees should be deleted.
  4. Analyze any proposed changes in the By-Laws coming from other sources and recommend to the Executive Committee changes in form or issues that are not anticipated by such proposals.
  5. Revise By-Laws in accordance with legal requirements
  6. Provide a progress report to the Executive Committee liaison in time to be included in the agenda book for each Executive Committee meeting.
