2005–2006 AAA COMMITTEES
MEMBERSHIP ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Charge:
Advise the staff and Executive Committee on membership services for all
current and potential members of the Association. Specifically:
- To encourage new faculty to become actively involved in the association
early in their careers.
- To promote interaction among academics and accounting practitioners on
shared interests through active involvement in AAA.
- To sustain membership interest of members who are retired or nearing
retirement.
- To assess membership satisfaction levels and recommend actions as appropriate.
- To determine reasons for the rather significant number of non-member accounting faculty.
- To determine reasons for the large decline in practice members.
- To provide a progress report to the Executive Committee liaison in time to
be included in the agenda book for each Executive Committee meeting.
