2005–2006 AAA COMMITTEES


MEMBERSHIP ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Charge:

Advise the staff and Executive Committee on membership services for all current and potential members of the Association. Specifically:

  1. To encourage new faculty to become actively involved in the association early in their careers.
  2. To promote interaction among academics and accounting practitioners on shared interests through active involvement in AAA.
  3. To sustain membership interest of members who are retired or nearing retirement.
  4. To assess membership satisfaction levels and recommend actions as appropriate.
  5. To determine reasons for the rather significant number of non-member accounting faculty.
  6. To determine reasons for the large decline in practice members.
  7. To provide a progress report to the Executive Committee liaison in time to be included in the agenda book for each Executive Committee meeting.
