AAA–EAA GLOBAL ACCOUNTING DIGITAL ARCHIVES
TASK FORCE COMMITTEE

Charge:

This Task Force is a joint effort of the American Accounting Association and the European Accounting Association and involving representatives from a growing number of international organizations. The basic unit of geo-political measure for accounting study is expanding across time and space boundaries via technology which is increasingly digitized to facilitate immediate access. The Task Force will contribute to the development of accounting thought, in global terms, by easing access to materials previously limited or less well identified. The TF will:

  • Identify archival sources, in particular those which contain digitized accounting primary and research materials.
  • Establish and populate a pilot website at http://raw.rutgers.edu/digitallibrary
  • Expand awareness about digital accounting materials and archival locations related thereto
  • Sponsor informative presentations at appropriate meetings and events

Structure and Processes:

Membership:

Chair and members are appointed annually by the AAA President.

Meetings:

Meetings may be held as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the committee charter
  • Report at least annually on the activities of the committee to the Executive Committee Liaison, AAA President, and Executive Director.
