NEW TENURED FACULTY CONSORTIUM CONCEPT
TASK FORCE COMMITTEE

Charge:

This group will explore and discuss the costs and benefits of providing as a new membership service a Faculty Consortium for Newly/Recently tenured faculty members (time limits, perhaps to be reviewed, such that no later than the start of their third year of tenure, individuals would be eligible to attend upon nomination and screening by a process to be determined). The type of subjects to be addressed, i.e. the mission of this activity, the location, offering form (free standing or as part of a section or region or annual meeting event) and capacity would all be matters for consideration.

A report to the Executive Committee would be prepared for consideration no later than July lst, 2008 so it would be available for consideration no later than the August 2008 meeting of that Committee.
